Dance dance dance~!
I went dancing tonight for the first time in AGES. I told myself I would go dancing a lot while hubby was gone, but so far it hasn't happened. My only attempt so far was with a friend a couple months ago, and the dance wasn't happening as advertised.
But tonight I went to a free, outdoor swing dance in downtown Seattle, with some friends. It was SO much fun to dance again! I have the best time when there are some really killer leads who ask me to dance, and tonight there weren't too many of those, but I was so happy to be dancing I didn't even care. Even when I danced with the cute but weird flaily guy who didn't know any actual steps and called it "blues style." It is so enjoyable to be surprised by a dancer who is really, really good. I find it more flattering to be asked to dance by the fun, experienced leads than to be asked by the cute boys.
I miss MY cute boy, though. Le sigh.
