things are not going great
Since I've started downloading music, I've kinda gotten storage issues on my comp. And it was such a hard decision to figure out what to delete, musically, from itunes library. I had really became attached to the music there. Well, one day I just decided to delete it all, and start anew. I deleted all 2000 songs, but about 600. And now I am in the process of adding new stuff. I dont think I am going to allow the itunes to go over 1000 to 1200 songs. There really is no need for it, it's not like I will listen to all of them. Some people could say "well, Kevin get an external hard drive". Yes that is a good suggestion, but since I am poor, not an affordable suggestion.
but now I am trying to be more diverse with my music. I realize that sometimes that my itunes can be toppling over with Metal, or hair metal, or whatever I am feeling a the moment. Like last week I had imported the 2 disc Cars Anthology, The Cure's greatest hits, Devo's greatest hits, downloaded Cyndi Laupers best of, PAt Benetar's best of, etc. Do you see the pattern here? 1. alot of 80's oriented stuff in those,or you can look at the first three and see some new wave flavors.
in the last 24 hours I have uploaded Blink 182, Beatles, Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, David Gilmour era Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Alkaline Trio, Anthrax, Beach Boys, Billy Idol, Black Label Society, Public Enemy, Guided by Voices, Guns n Roses, Hollywood Undead, I could go on. But, I am trying to make it more diverse. I have metal(Anthrax, Bls) in there, I have the legendary(Floyd, Beatles, Beach Boys) in there, I have punkish(Idol, A3) in there, GNR can serve as hair metal, Guided by Voices is my experimentive stuff, and hip hop(PE).
And then I have a stack of cds here I will put in: Turbo Negro, Sonic Youth, Twisted Sister, Transport LEague, Dylan, Get up Kids, ZZ Top, and Stax Records..
I've also downloaded MGMT, Anberlin, 311's new album, Chickenfoot, and I dont know what else. I've heard people talk about MGMT, but I resisted because I didnt think I would like them. I figured they were just another pretentious indie rock band. Because pretentious indie hipsters like them. But, I kinda like what I heard. And Anberlin, I just Dled last night, but really like them . New 311 album is good too, it's different.
