Summertime as a kid......
I remember when the summertime consisted of riding bikes anywhere I wanted to go, going to the pool for hours, going on picnics with my grandmother and aunt and walking around with NO shoes. We used to walk up to the neighborhood Lonestar or 7-11 and buying an icee for 25 cents and candy for a dime. Life has changed so much since then. I started thinking about this because the summer is almost over and I fear the boys have not had much fun. Even if I was home with them I could not comfortably allow them to do stuff like this for fear that something awful would happen. I wish life was this simple again.
