The best thing to have is a goal. something you can get passionate about. Then you'll have something to drive you, and something to pour your energy into. For some it's school. For some it's their job. Neither one seem to be doing it for you right now, so maybe it's time to sit down and make a list of everything you could want, then go through that list and decide what you actually want to chase after now. Then go for it.

As for the neglectful friends: What I do is hold on tightly to the ones I have. Make them, along with whatever passion you choose, the priority in your life. The others, the ones that are neglectful, will either realize what they're missing, or let you fade into their memory. You have to be ready for either occurance. It's not easy...There are times when it's all I can do keep myself from trying to bring people from my past back into my present. But I have great people in my life that I can still count on, and so do you. Their the ones that deserve our time and affection.

Buck up, kiddo. You're right, you do have limitless possibilities before you. Pick a good one, shine brightly, and watch your life fill up.
