Klonoa has been beaten...

...and I went back to that Retronauts episode to listen past the point where I hastily hit "pause". Yep, Parish went on to spoil the ending. In talking about an interview he did with someone involved with the making of the game (can't remember who), Mielke goes on to say (regarding the ending) that he doesn't want to totally give it away because, like I said before, no one played it in its PS1 form, at least in this country.

Although it wasn't quite what I expected at first, all in all the ending wasn't a complete surprise for me, one reason being that I'd heard it was a sad/bittersweet one from a previous Retronauts (there's another reason that I shall not mention here as it could be interpreted as a spoiler). Still, I'm so glad I managed to hit that pause button in time :P Oh, and an aside to nama: in case you and/or your mom didn't notice already, the "classic" Klonoa voices, tons of "Wa-HEW" and all, can be turned on in the Options; it's the "Phantomile" language setting.

Anyway, I think I'll be able to close out this month with Okami and Pokemon Ruby beaten as well, provided I don't get recruited, hired, or what have you for some super awesome job next week ;P More on my gaming progress later @ Brainscraps.

Oh, oh, and we saw Star Trek last night. It was great! Campy in bits, largely out of homage, but the story and acting were good enough to forgive these indulgences as just that. Fantastic popcorn flick, and this is coming from someone who isn't a hardcore fan of the franchise (ST:TNG was a regular Sunday-night ritual for me and my family for awhile back in the day, though) *thumbs up*

meh, general gaming, movies
