Crap in a sack
So my ASUS laptop broke. The DC adapter broke so it can't even charge. I took it to Best Buy to the Geek Squad, and they have to send it out. Okay, fine. ETA is two to three weeks. OUCH! Meanwhile, I'm without a laptop.
I tried using the Toshiba, and it behaved itself for a while, and then shut off abruptly. So... I give up. I'll use Mom and Dad's desktop as needed to keep in touch, but I can't do IMs on it. So for everyone on Skype, IRC and AIM/MSN/etc, I'm offline for a while. :< Sorry, loves. I might be able to finagle mIRC on this computer for a while, but... argh.
And I just bought that fucker back in late August. I'm not happy. At least the Toshiba took three years to start breaking down. This one took a little over three months to break!
