Tonight was a really good night. It did a lot to assure me that, even on the first night of Jeanne's being in Taiwan, I still had tons of fun. Now I know it's gonna be a great summer.
I didn't really want to spend $7 to see Funktopus play stuff I'd already seen them play, but everyone was going to the show, so I eventually got a ride. I still didn't want to pay the $7, so me, Nick, and later Alli and Liling just stayed outside in the back of Nick's truck, where we could hear the music fine. The weather was perfect, the vibe was great, and even the elusive Dan Bell chilled with us for a long time. People from the show were even coming out to chill with us.
Next up was Nick's, and then back home where Dave, Mike, Mike's friends and I went swimming in the pool. We played underwater telephone, and as one word went around the circle it changed from "banana" to "AAAAA!" to "aaaag" to "rue" to "year". Martin Bonventre is an awesome kid.
Work tomorrow may suck a little, but I'll bring a bunch of Matt Bell's CDs to keep me awake, and I just bought Blueberry Boat, which is one of the best albums ever IMO. My brothers have really been role models to me the last couple weeks, raging, totally regardless of their jobs the next day. I draw inspiration from my elders.
