"I've got stones in my passway, and my road seem dark at night."

"Call it Stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad..."

The sky outside is damn near black. At best it's a steely grey.
Recently, I've been writing about being trapped between the ground and the sky, and sometimes, when the weather is like this, it does feel like it. That oppressive feeling.

"Lord, the whole round country, Lord, river has overflowed..."

Speaking of clouds and dismal weather, haven't these floods been immense? It's funny how we think we're immune to such things here in this country. Mother Nature doesn't discriminate, it seems.

"I'm drifting and drifting, like a ship out on the sea."

I'm quite glad that I've cleared up the employment situation, as at least it will instil some kind of purpose and discipline to my otherwise... 'freeform' routine at the moment. I did get a tinge of Woking syndrome, but that is to be expected. It's also good that people are filtering back here... diversifies things a little. And it'll be good to see them, and hear their tales of how boring home is, haha.

It's getting late. Time to walk home.
