and the trumpet sounded...

I finished my application. Oh yeah... it was like a load off when I went to the post office yesterday to mail it. Talk about down to the wire! I finished the essay (which is okay, not spectacular, but I can settle for that) on Thursday night. I asked three other people, including my mom, to edit/double check for errors and any additional comments. All things considered though, I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

I can't believe it's done. It's this weird feeling of waiting now... see if it was all for naught or whatever. I'm so glad that it's the "postmarked by the date" policy as opposed to the "get it here by then" policy that I'm used to. I sent it registered mail with a return receipt, not taking any chances on it getting lost! :)

Coming up in the next week is my doctor's appointment (multiple ones) and my cousin's and aunt's visit. My cousin, Andri, is checking out the Lewis and Clark campus (in Oregon) and they figured since they hadn't seen my house yet (and since it's been like forever since I've seen THEM) they'd drive up and stay a couple nights. Cool beans, really, except that I'll have my appointments to attend. Dunno what we're going to do other than eat a lot of seafood... there's a lot of Seattle to cover and not that much time that they'll be here.

THEN, on the 25th I'm penciled in for my surgery... which may or may not happen depending on the results from the MRI and my second consult with the surgeon. We shall see.

Cue nervous jitters all around.

And now back to my procrastinating... well, I guess it wouldn't be called that since I've *gasp* finished... so, um, I suppose now it's just wasting time. :D YAY. That's always fun.

Also, Mommy is sick with a cold/cough... my turn to take care of her (and make sure I don't get sick again in the process).
