Going to report to camp for my twice a year routine, ICT. My last call-up was somewhere in April just before my Australia trip.
Feeling sickly, got this feverish feeling in the evening and tension headache!..hope is not Dengue Fever, if not I will be 3rd time lucky. See, I got my very 1st Dengue Fever at the age of 8yrs old (1986, Pri2 only) back then it is still not 'popular' yet.
Luckily, I survived, I spent a total of 10days in hospital. According to my mum, I was daydreaming about being in a Zoo while gazing at a Cross right in front of me(i was warded to Mt Alverina Hosp) and later transferred to TTSH.
The very moment i came to my senses in TTSH, i tried to write and stand up by myself but i couldn't, i was too weak. It was a real horrible experience..thinking to myself.. am I going to be like that for the rest of my life?? Luckily not!
Interestingly, my 2nd encounter with Dengue was when i am in Sec 2 (why the number 2)..and that was also the year when my dad and elder brother was struck my Dengue fever! This was better, my stay in hospital was only 5days!
Just hope this time around I will be safe, so far no signs of red spots on skin or pain in my bones. Hope is just the weather at fault.
