Eric's sudden departure in the spring was due to his father having a stroke, and him going home to help his mother. He's been in touch with a few people, and has replied to any correspondence sent his way via email or US Mail. If you think you'd be on that list, let me know!
It's still not certain that Eric'll be back at school this year, but that should be figured out shortly.
