We're back from our
Shenandoah and
Berkeley Springs trip. It was very relaxing. We spent Friday night through Sunday afternoon in and around the Shenandoah with Barb and George, then went up to Berkeley Springs for Sunday and Monday, and came back yesterday.
The Shenandoah was gorgeous and we had a nice time faux-camping. Ben caught a head cold because he is dumb and didn't use enough blankets. Berkeley Springs was a cute little town and interesting to see. I was not a superhuge fan of the spa treatments we got, and also by Monday afternoon we were kind of done relaxing and sort of lapsed into boredom. But I don't mind being ready to come home at the end of a vacation. I'm off work today to take care of things like, you know, posting on LJ.
Ben decided to be the Photographer Guy this trip, so we have approximately one million pictures. I haven't gone through them to figure out which ones are better than the others. I put some up on Facebook, and here are some (some of the same) here.
This is the Kabin where we stayed outside of the Shenandoah (about 1/2 hour from the park). This was Ben's first "camping" experience. Other than the head cold, it went pretty well.
Here is a cool picture of Ben at the park.
Here are some scenery pictures.
This one was especially neat to see - it was sunny in the morning but rained in the afternoon, and the clouds or mist coming over the mountains was awesome.
We always take one of these pictures, I think they're fun. George has a nice proper picture of us that he'll send along, maybe I'll post that later.
