Let's Compare, Children.

So I've been taking organic chemistry at PSU all summer. More precisely, I've been taking the equivalent of a year-long ochem course in three months. It's not going well, but that's another story.

The question I wish to settle today is "How's it stack up against Reed?" Oh, it stacks up real good. Here's the score thus far:
PSU Has: A whale skeleton in the stairwell. A seismograph in the hallway. New iMacs in the library. Cheaper tuition. Reed Has: Teachers who don't lecture me about how I'd better listen up because I'll "need problem-solving skills in the real world." A chemistry stockroom that checks how much acetone is left before the class starts. A chemistry stockroom that doesn't close randomly at the beginning of a lab session when people are trying to check out equipment or lab drawer keys. Enough pipettes, rubber gloves, and aluminum heating blocks to go around. Lab instructors who speak enough English to understand the phrase "Bunsen burner".
One more week of this bullshit, then I'm going back across the river and staying there.
