KING OF THE IDIOT BRIGADE! (or, BSG 3.15, "A Day in the Life")
I don't know why I'm bothering to spoiler-cut, since Carla got this rant last night, but oh well.
- Bill Adama, Lord High Idiot. All lesser idiots must bow before him. Bill, hon - when the President responds to your piddling attempts at flirting by talking about how she will be hanging around your ship ALL DAY, may be WORKING OUT in the gym, and strongly implies that night you got stoned on New Caprica could have been a regular thing, you pull your head OUT OF YOUR ASS and make with the sexing!
- In other Bill news, apparently he was married to Ellen Tigh's twin sister (no, not really, but I wouldn't be shocked if she was). With the neglect and the drinking and GAH, this is WHY Saul and Bill are totally heterosexual man-spouses. Because they have horrendous taste in women (Laura Roslin being the exception) and think nothing of stealing each other's food and rummaging through each other's drawers.
- Love Lee finally acting like the freaking CAG again. Nice speechifying there, Leemo Kid - you steal one of your dad's old speeches like Kara says you did? Also, it was nice to be reminded that Lee and Kara still know how to poke fun of each other playfully and not mudsling "you cheated on your husband/wife with me!" back and forth.
- HEEEEEELO! He wasn't in it all that much, but I still squee. Just because he's so darn cute.
- So is it "Caroline" or "Carolanne" Adama? Because if it's the former, blame EJO's funky pronunciation. If it's the latter, that's kinda weird, because IIRC, wasn't his second wife named "Anne"?
- Anyone else laying heavy odds on Bill in the Cylon Sweepstakes? It's got to be someone important on the show (for instance, if Cally's a Cylon, I'll just roll my eyes and be not at all shocked), and Bill's got the blonde-in-his-head thing going on like Baltar does. It would for sure add a lot of interesting dynamics to the show, although it's going to end in tears and bloodshed and Laura having to airlock the guy she kindasorta loves.
- Speaking of Laura, apparently her and Bill's little expedition into illegal substances on New Caprica may not have been the only time, as she says "that time? Or other times?". And duh, of course they got stoned, had lazy sex, then hooked back up a couple days later to try it without the illegal substances. Whatever, it still does not excuse the fact that she handed Bill a written invitation to hijack her back to his quarters and he had to go off and attempt to be fatherly to Lee.
- Also, if Caroline beat Lee and Zak as kids, how much worse is Mommy Thrace going to be? Because Kara is arguably a LOT less adjusted than Lee, and we KNOW she got abused by her mother. Man, the moral of this show really is "girls, don't get married and have kids, you'll end up a drunken, abusive hobag who causes your wonderful husband a lot of pain".
- And yes, Felix Gaeta ships Adama/Roslin. He and Dee are totally the queens of the rumor mill on Galactica. Which is nice, as it gives him something to take his mind off trying to kill his ex-boyfriend Baltar.
- Jane Espenson, plz to be off the drugs. If you have Cally and Tyrol in the infirmary at the end of this episode, you cannot have them leading a (WTF?!) MUTINY in next week's episode! *headdesk*

Also, I will love the person forever who finds me that icon with Starbuck and the caption "Hide your booze and your slightly dim, beefy, emo boys - Starbuck is back in town". I saw it once on someone's page and have spent the last three days trying every BSG comm and journal I can find.
