Argh I think I missed a couple days.
I have moved to Louisville. Am crashing with my aunt and uncle until I can find a place of my own. Today I think we found one. More details soon.
I will be here through February to work on this project involving some old papers from my mom's side of the family.
Have been enjoying lots of dog time with Bobo, my shaggy nephew, and various dogs about town who we meet on walks and outings.
Made a pretty tasty apple-rhubarb crisp for dinner last night, with fruit from the farmers' market here. Good stuff!
My sister's little white fluffy dog, Louise the Maltese, managed to survive some sort of life-threatening crisis that required surgery. We are glad, cause Louise is Important, but it cost a lot of money. But anyway Louise is recovering and that is really good.
Today was a gorgeous blue and yellow fall day and I spent several hours raking leaves, which is an immensely pleasurable activity if you don't HAVE to do it. I didn't have to. Just enjoyed the sweat and the sun and the scent of dry leaves on moist soil.
Now to make dinner...something involving a bunch of gorgeous Japanese turnips that we obtained at the farmers' market. More soon!
