Portal Cake
Does this look familiar? It should... because it's the cake from Portal! I am immensely proud to say that as of right now, the CAKE IS NOT A LIE. My roommates and I took the recipe (HERE) and spent the day making it. Without a doubt, this has to have been the most fun I've ever had baking. <3<3<3
A fun little factoid: this rich sweet is actually called a "Black Forest" cake. The developers of the game saw it in the shop window of a place across the studio, and then incorporated it into Portal. The recipe found in the link above can also be found hidden in the game.
Oh god... and as for the taste. Just imagine chocolate with more chocolate and sugar on top, and then covered in icing. Sweet, sweet, delicious death and tooth decay, but I have no regrets.
