Of course I would bring a slice of ficlet to share. It's been far too long, and it's good to be back. Classes just finished out for the year. I'm on winter break and feeling very relaxed. The past few days have been dedicated to sleeping, and eating, and recovering, and spending time with family.

I'm back at my apartment now and it's very quiet with all the students gone. The weather is nice, so it's warm and peaceful. This morning I woke up with the lines about Sakura's bleeding fingernails in my head, grabbed the nearest notebook and started writing. It feels really good to see a fic through from start to finish, and probably the biggest sign that things have fallen back to normal around here. Just coffee, and waffles, and writing... ah, what a life. Is it possible to always live this way?

My heart skipped a beat when your comment popped up. I appreciate how you reiterated the parts that left the biggest impression, and am glad the mood and settings carried through well. I think bodies communicating secretly are what ninjas do best, and if this were a smutty story, Sakura and Kakashi would be testing that principle to the extreme--sneaking into one sleeping bag at night and with the boys sleeping just a few feet away, while doing some very naughty things. :D
