Kazuha ga kita!!! Day 3

Mar 18, 2002 22:35

Hall Sensei was talking about the ups and downs of travel -- I was pretty sure this was gonna be a down day. I mean, c'mon... Dragging poor Kazuha around and having her sit in my classes? (Okay, I would totally be stoked if I got to walk around a Japanese high school and sit in the classes, but that's me...) I didn't even get a chance to give her breakfast.. or lunch.. but that's because I never eat breakfast and I don't eat lunch until after school. And I felt really bad, so I took her to eat at Taco Bell after 7th. They don't have Mexican fast food chains in Japan, isn't that cute?

But yeah, after awhile, there's only so much you can talk about that you haven't talked about already. And the long, long pauses between conversations were inevitable. I expected it, but I still felt like I should be more entertaining.

Later on, we took her over to Fresh Choice and stuffed her with salads. Then after we got home and I finished my Japanese and my math homework, I taught her how to play "Hotaru" by Spitz. Now *that* was the turnaround point. Well, she made bento lunches for us to eat tomorrow (onigiri and tamagoyaki), and that was fun, but the mutual excitement was when she found out that playing guitar isn't really that hard. ^_^ She caught on pretty fast, too! I'm so proud of her.

I hope she can stand my brother and sister until tomorrow...
