bah humbug
My holiday has been fairly crappy so far. I mean, granted, it's not one I celebrate but Morgan has time off from work and I had yesterday off and we had plans to do things and it just...did not go as planned.
The day started okay, I guess; we slept in, and eventually got ourselves together to go out and get brunch and hit Barnes & Noble because one of our packages from Amazon went awry. Two of them actually did but apparently one got mis-delivered to a neighbor who brought it over to us. Sadly that one did not have actual presents for people in it.
But we were successful at B&N in getting the right things for people, and Amazon has refunded us for the package that we didn't get, so yay, everything is fine.
Unfortunately I had a killer headache by the time we left B&N and it just did not get better. I missed the Xmas Eve party at Ketina & Ronelyn's because I just felt terrible. I would have had to leave early anyway both to take care of the dog and also because I'm working today and 4:45am comes really early, so I just didn't go. Which was a bummer and I spent part of the evening very depressed about it.
Said headache, for the record, is not much better this morning. I didn't sleep that well and the more I wake up the more my head hurts. I have my meds with me but argh.
And my co-worker came in cranky and ranting about a lot of stuff and made me cranky as a result, so that's definitely not helping the headache. >.<
In good news, I got a fair bit of writing done, including a post-FF ficlet for the wonderful tigertale7 and about 1700 words on the next chapter of WC. So that's something, I guess.
