I took him out this morning around 5:30, like we normally do. It was raining, and it started raining harder as we went out. I, stupidly, was wearing my fleece and not my waterproof winter jacket (because I hadn't realized it was raining) so I was getting pretty wet too. We went up to the corner, at which point Buddy clearly cued in that we weren't going home until he did his business. So he peed and immediately turned around to go home, and pretty much dragged me down the hill to our house. He was like "Nope nope nope nope".
Then I took my morning meds and curled up on my daybed with the dog and we slept for a few hours. I had very weird dreams including the Doctor (the Matt Smith version) and other bizarre stuff and so on, and woke up slightly confused.
Meanwhile, in gaming news, our normal 1st edition game is on hold for the foreseeable future because Strahd and Chevy's daughter arrived! She's perfectly healthy despite arriving a month early, everyone's thrilled, and we're happy but now we lose Strahd for all future games for...uh, a while. (Keep in mind that their first daughter is about 18 months old, so now they have a toddler and a newborn.)
On the up side, schmallturm is looking to run another 1st edition game, a megadungeon crawl. 1st edition again, with taking out some stupid rules and adding in a couple things from 2nd edition. I am so there for this one. I'm thinking of playing a magic user, because I haven't done that yet and we never had one in the last game. It looks like the gaming schedule then would be Kroroboros every other week, Morgan (who's running a 5e module) once a month and this game once a month, until Morgan's module ends at which point Ketina has a 5e game she wants to start. I'm not in the 5e games, either of them, so I'd be busy 3 weekends out of a month whereas Morgan is booked all four. (Assuming I ever make it to kroroboros' game again.)
I may also have one or two people not currently in our group that might be interested in playing. I've emailed the DM about it and we'll see what he says. He did say to pass along to anyone not on the "to" line that would want to, so...we'll see.
And today's moment of dog picture:
