And we're home. It was a surprisingly fairly easy trip back, all in all. The shuttle to the airport was two minutes late, but there were zero lines to check in or get through security, and we finished reassembling ourselves with over an hour to spare before boarding. The flight to O'Hare was boring and quiet, and then we were the luckiest travelers ever: We arrived into O'Hare at gate B9. We left out of gate B10. For once we had a connection at O'Hare that didn't involve racing across the ginormous airport!
Our flight out of ORD was a bit delayed, but we got moving eventually, and the flight to Seattle was boring and occasionally bumpy but mostly okay. I kept trying to get the wifi to work on my laptop and it wouldn't, so instead I did some writing (that I now need to sync to OneDrive or I'll have lost everything I did today and I'm not on that computer so argh) and watched half of Captain America and listened to music. I had just started listening to the first Eighth Doctor adventure when I had to shut down the computer, so that was annoyingly timed of me.
We wrangled our bags and the shuttle back to the car and the car and then we picked up the Budster, who was quite happy to see us if a bit stressed on the drive home. But he's relaxed and happy now and we're all three home with our possessions and most of our sanity intact.
The one big annoyance of the day was that I couldn't get through to my GI doc to make an appointment. I called them, was on hold forever and finally left a message, and they called back when I was in the air. I called again from baggage claim, was again on hold forever, finally left a message and at this point I'm assuming I'll get a callback tomorrow.
On the plus side, I got about two thousand words written on the plane today. Progress, I am making it!
