happy things
1. Rosh Hashanah starts tonight. L'Shana Tovah to all my friends who are celebrating; may you have a happy and healthy New Year. I am not in fact going to services as I never got my act together to call my temple about tickets, but that's all right.
2. Morgan and I are also celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary today. It's been an interesting 8 years, to say the least; we've survived a lot of unemployment and financial insecurity, emotional ups and downs, two moves, and whatever else I'm forgetting. I figure if we've made it this far, plus we just bought a house and a new bed, I'm pretty much stuck with him, and he with me. (Love you, sweetie!) In amusing related news, my parents sent us a gift card to Home Depot for our anniversary; I guess they figured we'd need things for the house? I don't know. I'm not sure what we need at Home Depot, honestly, but I guess we'll go there at some point and figure it out. Maybe I can get a new showerhead for my bathroom?
3. Have my first session of PT today for my shoulder; I'm really hoping they can lower the pain level, cause this constant pain thing is really uncool. I haven't found anything yet that actually eases the pain other than intermittent icing, and I can only do that every so often and the effects are very temporary. Ibuprofen's doing very little; aleve isn't doing much more. Ow.
