memory weirdness

I'm posting about this because it's bugging me, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has experienced something similar. On Thursday, I saw my opthamologist and got a new prescription for glasses. I remember the exam, and I remember that my prescription changed and that for some reason I now have astigmatism in both eyes--previously I only had it in my left eye. Also, it's been longer since I had my eyes checked than I thought--I thought I'd gone last year, but apparently the last time I went was in 2010. Anyway, that's not quite the point.

Friday, my MIL and I went to the salon for mani/pedis, and I remember that just fine, and after that we went to the glasses shop so I could pick out and buy two new pair of glasses (computer and regular). For some weird reason, the visit to the glasses shop is a complete blur in my memory. I vaguely remember that it didn't take me long to pick out frames, and I vaguely remember ordering special lenses (high-refraction, maybe? I forget exactly what they're called) and clip-on sunglasses (maybe they're magnetic?) to go with my regular glasses. But most of the details are a complete blur, to the point that I had to ask Morgan if his mother actually went with me to the shop. I think one pair of glasses has blue frames, but hell if I remember what the other pair is, and I don't remember which pair is which. It's just this one thing--I can remember everything else just fine, but for some reason this episode is just a blur.

It's honestly kind of disturbing, that I just can't remember what I picked out or what my new glasses will look like or if I remembered to make sure they'll get the tint right (my computer glasses are tinted yellow to help with glare, my regular glasses are tinted pink because it supposedly helps with photophobia and also it just looks cool; I get a lot of comments on them) or anything. I do remember that they said it'd be about two weeks before I got my glasses, so I've a week and a half to go and then I guess I'll find out what my glasses look like and hope everything's right.

Has anyone ever had something like this happen before? Am I losing my mind (what's left of it)?
