hack cough bleh
1. Still sick. Migraine has evolved into a cold type thing; I'm coughing up gunk and my throat is scratchy and my head has a lot of pressure going on. Not pleased but also not surprised given Morgan had it first. I've texted my nail tech to see if she can change my appointment but haven't heard back yet, and I need to leave in about 15 min if I'm going. Sigh. I just feel gross and sweaty and sick.
2. I have to deal with some mortgage paperwork today; we need to fax something back to the title company and send something else to the lender and then we should be done with paperwork. I don't really want to go out again because sick, but I'll drag myself out later once I've had more tea and something to eat. Really all I want is the tea, but I realize I have to eat something.
3. In good news, we got the appraisal report, and it's exacty what we wanted. The house appraised at more than we're paying for it, so we're already starting off with equity in it. So this is very good and we're very pleased.
4. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday. It wasn't the best birthday I've ever had but it wasn't the worst, either, so we'll call it good.
5. Chapter 35 is up over at
college_boys if you hadn't noticed. No promises on when chapter 36 will be but I think we're almost at a stopping point for this section, and before I start the next section I'm going to need a break to do some actual research. The first section of the story dealt with Gil's father dying, and the trip to New York. The second section here is kind of mostly filler but is dealing with Adam graduating college and family things and them settling back into life in MA. I think there's going to be a bit of a time jump before section three, and that's going to encompass the road trip the boys and Sarah are taking to California. I don't really see the need to discuss their day to day lives for the months of June and July; we'd all get bored really damn fast. So we'll do the road trip next, which just means I'm going to need to do some research on the best ways for them to get from MA to CA and where they might stop and things. Hopefully y'all reading it won't mind if I break for a week or so to get things straight and get some writing done so I'm ahead of the game; right now I'm barely keeping up which is not how I want to do this.
6. Nail tech texted me back; am going to see her tomorrow which means right now I'm going to crash for an hour or so. Talk at y'all later.
