I think Morgan said it best: Until now, I had absolutely no idea what it was like to feel numb, terrified, excited and like I was walking in a dream and none of this was real all at the same time. Huh.
In related news, we put a bid in on the Dream House and now it's completely out of our hands and we wait to find out if they accepted it or not. The offer was $X, we offered $X minus 5k and asked them to pay a bit of closing costs. I think it's a good deal; our realtor seemed to think it was a reasonable offer, and if we're lucky the sellers will like it too.
I'm surprisingly calm about this, but I think it may be in part due to the muscle relaxant I took earlier. *breathes*
Here's hoping we hear tomorrow on the offer and can start doing things like arranging for inspection and all that jazz.
