new year, new week, new everything
I had a good New Year's Eve - Morgan and I went to Pinky and Kroroboros's place for dinner and hanging out after, and we played board games, and then Ketina and Ronelyn arrived and we played more board games, and hung out, and toasted the New Year with sparkling wine and sparkling cider, and ate a ton of cookies throughout the night. Morgan and I left around one in the morning mostly because it's a good half hour drive from Pinky's place to ours and I wanted to get home before I started getting tired.
Of course, I didn't go to bed until about three in the morning, and as a result I've been dragging alllllllll day. Morgan and I went to hang out with Ketina and Ronelyn, but I only lasted a few hours before leaving Morgan there (to be driven home later by a gracious Ronelyn) and coming home to crash. I was too tired to be social, even as low key as it was.
But I rang in 2012 with some of my best friends, and so it's been a good weekend. I have tomorrow off (woo) and no real plans other than desperately needing to do laundry and wanting to clean my kitchen and do some cooking, so maybe that's what I'll do. I have a yen to bake up a bunch of chicken breasts and buy frozen vegetables so I can bring healthy lunches to work. Or maybe make a giant vat of spaghetti sauce and bring pasta in. Something healthier than what I've been doing, at any rate, and cheaper. Chili maybe?
I could do chicken and salad. That's healthy. Okay, new plan. Tomorrow's goal: Clean kitchen, go grocery shopping, start cooking.
