Okay, so. You all remember the $Evil_Empire hoops I jumped through back in June? Where I interviewed for seven hours for a FTE position that ended up getting canceled?
I've kept in touch with that recruiter since then, because it was pretty obvious they wanted to hire me but the position fell through. And mostly it's been "Hey, how's it going?" "Hey, nothing new, glad to hear from you."
I emailed her again on Thursday, just a "Hey, here's what's going on, I interviewed for an a- position but didn't get it" email. No response Thursday or Friday, so I figured she was OOF, or busy, or had forgotten me, or what have you.
I heard back today--on a Sunday, which is weird, but. Turns out a new (FTE) position has just opened up in the group and she thinks I'd be a good fit, so here's the link, please apply, and by the way would Wednesday at 11am be a good time for a phone interview?
Obviously, I am all kinds of asquee over this, emailed back immediately to say YES PLEASE and managed to make the MS careers site work on Morgan's laptop so I could apply for it (and the other jobs I found today), so I have three job contacts as of today, I'll have a fourth on Wednesday, and it's only Sunday.
This made today feel a lot better, let me tell you, and then I proved how awesome I am by making all the Thanksgiving travel reservations. So that's done.
Now, if I could just get rid of this )$(@)(! sinus headache...
