Hey, Doctor McCoy! It's Freedom Ring...but you can call me Curtis if you want. Anyway...you're a doctor, right? I kind of need a little help with a medical thing, y'know? I was wondering if we could meet up and talk about it sometime whenever you're like...not busy. Yeah. Call me back at [Phone number!] when you get this message please. See ya.
Doc! Great! Yeah, alright, first it's not me that needs any treatment, y'know. Phenomenal cosmic powers, just give myself healing powers anyway kinda thing. Spider-Man...the uh younger one and not the one that's from where we are. He's the one this is about. How much do you know about his umm...condition?
[A pause because that surprised Curtis. He shakes it off quickly though.] That saves some time then! Yeah! I've been doing a lot of research and talking to other sciencey types and I'm thinking...full bone marrow replacement. And while I am as powerful as I am, there's no way I could do any of it on my own. Need the help of someone who knows the medical stuff.
Spider-Man, the adult one, approached me about it a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we've had quite a few busy weeks since, so I was unable to get back to you until now!
But yes, I'd be glad to assist in any way I'm able.
Spidey's cool. Didn't know he came to you though. And don't worry about the timing, y'know. We were all busy.
Alright. Basically, I'm going to need your help actually making the transplant happen. I'm planning on using my power to make a machine that'll combine some chemicals into fresh and healthy bone marrow that we can transplant into the younger Spider-Man. And if all that research I did is right, it should cure him. I hope.
I may need a little help getting my hands on some of the chemicals needed. No clue how I would get the chemicals that make up bone marrow. [Awkward chuckle.] And thanks, Doc. You are like...literally a life saver here.
I'll talk with Little Spider and see when is good for him. Probably should find some secure hospital medical place too. Huh. Didn't think of that part.
A list? Oh yeah. I looked this up too. One second. [There's the sound of some papers being shuffled before Curtis starts to list chemicals they'll need. When he finishes, he lets out a sigh.] Man...long list. Yeah. That should work fine! I'll pass along the info to Little Spider.
