So I volunteer every week at a nursing home near work, specifically in the Alzheimer's/memory care unit. I've decided that I need to start taking notes of the quotes of the day, because, really, the residents just crack my shit up.
Tonight's best quote was from Annie (of course). I was walking with Mel, an always nicely-dressed tall black man who was wearing a sea-green colored sweater tonight. We were vaguely wandering from the dining area to the TV room when Annie walked up.
"Hi Annie," I said, "Do you want to walk with us?"
"Oh, no, honey," Annie said, taking a careful look at Mel, "I hate men in green."
