Your weekend romance plans sound nice indeed, as does that tamale.

You are leading quite the life, aren't you?:)

What's this? No salsa verde in your part of the world? That's not right at all! I can try to dig up a recipe for you, if you crave it enough to actually make your own....One of the perks to having a professional chef for a houseguest is that there are recipes galore at my disposal. Let me know...

Weekend in the mountains sounds heavenly enough...Weekend in mountains with beautiful man sounds outstanding! Hope that there's a cozy fireplace and that you have a bottle of wine to enjoy in front of the fire....Okay, that's really my version of fun (outside of any x-rated activity), may not be yours....But I hope that you both have a great time!

Glad that your friends finally got the parental blessing...Can't imagine the patience it must have required to wait as long as they did! Haven't met them, but you love them, so they must be righteous, my best thoughts to them!

Smiles!

M.

Please send recipe!

Yes, there's a fireplace and a deck overlooking the lake with a hot-tub on it! And there will be several bottles of wine involved. It will be a weekend of sensualist, dionysian (sp?) fun.

Salsa Verde (makes about 1 cup)

Ingredients

2 cloves garlic
1 shallot, chopped
1 poblano chili, seeded
3/4 cup chopped parsley leaves
1/2 bunch cilantro leaves, chopped
3/4 cup olive oil
3 teaspoons lemon juice (or lime juice)
salt (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)

Directions: Blend garlic, shallot, poblano, parsley, cilantro, oil, and lemon juice until smooth. Season with the salt and pepper.

**Remember that it'll taste better (and spicier)if you let it sit overnight than it will the day it's thrown together! :) Would just use this recipe as a base and then add/detract whatever you like...As you already know, it's salsa and not rocket science...

You have much benign, friendly jealousy coming your way from me on this whole weekend trip! Sounds just wonderful!!! Have a great time!
