Last night's dream

Nov 18, 2005 16:38

I was in this small town which was in squalid condition. There was trash everywhere and all the buildings looked to be in disrepair. The people in this town (more of a village actually) where all languid and appathetic. As night approached one woman suggested everyone gather in the unused barn to spend the night since it was so cold. Makeshift bunk beds had been set up and were filled with people. Sometimes two or three people per bunk. Not very many people could sleep since it was so cramped. But, everyone was quiet and peacful. But before the night was even through everyone started getting up and leaving.

Next I found myself watching each of these people go their sepperate ways. Some of them were throwing out their medication. Others were setting off for places they'd always wanted to go. Many were blissfully ignorant. But all had experienced an awakening of inner peace. And that feeling spread to everything they encountered.
