Tequila Sunrise is a color

...and it's on my toes. My Youngest Daughter picked it out when we were shopping a couple weeks ago. Rimmel of London, "Tequila Sunrise." To her, it's just "orange." But it's a freakin' bright orange! I've seen road construction barrels with more subtle coloration!

But it's a nice midwinter pick-me-up. And for $1.99 a bottle, it's really good quality. Covers in one coat, has a nice shine to it too so no top coat required.

Youngest Daughter (all of age 3) and I did home pedicures last night. We put on our jammies, sat in front of the TV -- she watched The Backyardigans while I trimmed and painted her nails, then did my own. Eldest Daughter has gorgeous nails without anything on them so she passed on the manicure...it's also kind of a "showy" color for her. She likes more Victorian shades of lavender, mauve, and taupe.

Overall I just had a generally relaxed day yesterday...made a conscious effort to do very little other than go to my 9am arse kicking at the dojo...take Eldest Daughter to her swimming lesson (and she's doing really well)....then came home, made lunches and didn't do a whole lot else until the youngest fell asleep. Then I went to the grocery store and got enough stuff to "punt" until payday. I also bought Valentine's Day cards, which I have to address and stamp and get in the mail on Monday. Most of them are going locally so they should still make it in time. The girls are each having Valentine's Day parties, so we need to work on folding and sealing valentines today. And Eldest Daughter has some homework to do to.

My car is still not running. We don't have enough scratch to pay for a battery and/or a tow (and I'm kicking myself for letting my Triple A membership lapse) so we're going to wing it and share DH's car for a few more days. My Toyota will probably run forever with routine maintenance, but I think sometime in the next year I'll be getting a new car. The Toyota is almost ten years old, but has less than 90K miles on it. I'm considering leasing since I only have a two-minute commute to work. The bulk of my driving is errand-running and going to karate. Despite my minimal driving, I'm considering getting a hybrid. I guess the budget will rule the day, but I'm still giving it some thought.
