sunshine all over the day
MY SOUNDCARD ISN'T SHOT! it was just a bad connection. i am soooooooo ridiculously stoked it's made my day.
but on the flip side (that inevitable, horrible, ever-present flip side), my car's forward speakers are blown out. *sob*
so i called andy yesterday to get a ride into cowtown. we didn't manage to donate plasma, but i've started job hunting again.. time to make money, again. but i think the anticipation at feeling somehow useful makes me feel better. starbuck's was the funniest: what do YOU like about coffee, dear peon? what has going to starbucks done for YOU? and how have YOU made a difference in your other, equally glamorous retail positions?
i do remember when i would've tried to come up with good answers. grin. is that material enough to turn the world around? it's like in the wizard of oz, when dorothy steps into the colorful and obviously magical land on the other side of the rainbow. even though it's cheesy. but--whatever it is, that color reappears and disappears so easily.. i wish i knew how to hold onto it.
