[One thing one didn't want to do around here. Bring up fairy tales. The next thing you'd know, you'd be in one. Leon would chalk that up to just the worlds and their oddities. After all, Merlin was the one that wanted that book in the first place. At the same time, though, if it weren't for people like Merlin and the Fairy Godmother, things like that wouldn't really exist anymore in the first place.

Leon snorts, but not out of exasperation. "Kamui" and his sweet tooth.

A hand motion, waving him to the kitchen. There's not too much commotion around like there probably will be later for dinner. Almost a communal effort, really. He'd learned a handy trick, actually.

He never liked or saw the sense in powdered mix, convenience aside. It was a little more effort, to root around in the kitchen for the double pans. The baking stuff was better, melted down and used with milk.

Pots found, and water to use, he set them to boiling, leaning against the counter for the mean time. By now, the slight ice burn was long forgotten.]

So-- [How to put it...] You alright?

[Fingers stop what they're doing-- dragging lightly along the scar on his neck. Cant say he isn't expecting the question. And he cant say he doesn't have an answer for it.]

I am.

[It's simple as that, no need to sugarcoat it or expound on things. While it may not be enough for other people, he knows Leon's the type to prefer the hard facts, and long lines is just a quick way to get his annoyance.

Possibly why "Kamui" does that all the time to him. Just to see that scar scrunch up as his brow furrows in a deep frown. He likes it. It's cute.

Powered milk is something he doesn't like though. Sometimes, he can still taste those little lumps in his mug and it's annoying to have to grind them between his teeth just so they will disappear. He prefers fresh milk, sweeter and more times better than that processed kind that have undergone questionable procedures to get to that powdery state.

That's not the reason why he asked for extra milk though. ... Milk is still milk, he supposes, and it adds flavor to something that's naturally bitter.

Fingers go back to what they're doing, rubbing down his scars. After every battle with 'magic' and his own powers involved, they become a little more sensitive than usual. The one over his heart, not so much, being the old one of the trio. The other two, however, are just a little spoiled and demand more attention.]

You sure? [It's only out of concern that he asks, really. Just because the air wasn't tense didn't mean that there wasn't something else the matter.

Never mind the idea of extra milk or powdered or even the hot chocolate itself.]

Do they still hurt? [His do, too, sometimes. Irritated skin. Possibly a muscle-deep ache from pinched or twisted nerves. Leon has never liked the feeling, really. Sometimes Aerith knew when they were irritating him before even he did.

"Kamui" hadn't been injured as far as Leon could tell, either... Had he missed something?]

Mmhm.

[A mental note to wear that turtleneck of his later, so he wont have to keep touching it.] They're not that bothersome. Just a little annoying.

New scars always are.

[If this is how new scars will react all the time, he'd rather not gain any more, and simply let any new wound, if he will ever get new ones in the future, heal over quickly. Unless, of course, there's something significant behind them that he will need to remember.

Maintaining scars is just a pain, really.]

I think I've still got something for that...

[Maybe not right now. Later, stashed somewhere.

Just some topical stuff that helped soften the scars, sooth the ache. It just had a rather annoying scent. He wasn't fond of things that smelled too thickly of mint.

Leon risked the briefest of touches.

A simple brush of fingers to "Kamui"'s arm, before finding the baker's chocolate and setting it into the double boiler to melt. Not too much. It's mostly for for "Kamui" anyways.]

[It's like dealing with a cat when "Kamui" involves himself with something. He likes getting too close, and likes to watch silently and intently. Most especially when it involves something he likes. Like hot chocolate.

And that touch to his arm. And that thought of possibly having Leon's hands on him.

And all that other stuff.

So it's pretty much obvious that he's hovering near Leon's shoulder, not caring whether it's rude or not.]

[Leon's not very big on gestures. Not... out-of-the-way ones. Not often. Respectful of distance, of space, of how people interact. Barriers. Things for a sort of self-imposed isolation in a world that required too much interacting. But there are some things he can get used to.

Such as "Kamui"'s hovering.

A cat that was, as a matter of fact, rather demanding. Leon isn't sure if he likes that or not. It's a bit personal. And annoying sometimes.

But then kind of sweet.

Leon lets him, fetching the milk from the fridge and a sizable mug (unfortunately it's a little chipped and aged). Oh, and a ladle. It's easy enough to mix it, careful to add extra milk for him. setting the mug down.]

Still hot, be careful. [A force of habit, warning people not to touch things he can handle-- simply because he can grab things bare-handed out of an oven doesn't mean it's cool enough to touch. Leon sometimes still wonders if Cid still has that burn mark...]

I think I can handle it. [He reaches for the mug, simply touching it with the tips his fingers while his powers take on the rest of it, keeping it up in the air. He knows it's hot, so he's not stupid enough to burn his fingers and accidentally drop the mug.

Or even burn his tongue while drinking. That would have just been very inconvenient, especially since he's after the taste of it, and burning his tongue will prevent that.

The scents from the mug in between his hands tell him that it will be good enough for his tastes. His very picky tastes. It has the right kind of texture that he likes, if but a little on the thick side... The milk is not totally incorporated yet though, so he has the chocolate swirl around a little to prevent any funny tastes.]

Thank you.

[Leon hums, something affirmative, and just simply goes about cleaning up. A careful, methodical sort of thing. A habit. Stripping gloves to wash dishes.

It keeps his hands occupied, and something to focus on so is mind doesn't go too far.

Sometimes, a lot weighs on it. Sometimes about the state of things on a grander scale than just pushing through life. Leon isn't the sort to make certain decisions quickly. And some things... some things just aren't... easy.

But then that's an easier thing to distract with.

To-Do lists, cluttered thoughts with minor details, just things. Most would find it tiring.

Leon found it meditative a little bit more than exhausting.]

[Once the mug reaches his lips, it doesn't leave. Not until it becomes half-empty, as if "Kamui" simply inhaled the drink.

In reality, he just prefers drinking things he likes straight up, because most of the things he actually likes are best when fresh. Like this. Hot chocolate is supposed to be taken hot for a reason.

"Kamui" draws a circle just above the surface of the drink, making it stir itself once again, just in case the milk and chocolate have separated, before finishing it off. Despite some shortcomings, it's still good (well, it's chocolate and it will always have a special place for "Kamui") and he debates asking for seconds.

Until, of course, he notices that Leon's cleaning up. Ah, too bad. Maybe next time.

Then again... he can get another kind of treat right now. He boldly licks at Leon's lips, fully prepared for a blow or something. Just until he gets the message that he wants permission to come in.]

[Use things sparingly. Leon hasn't quite perfected the technique yet. Likely never will. The woman across the hall is usually the one who makes it in the winter, or when the rain makes it cold. She's better at it in general.

It was a useful thing to learn, he supposes.

The kisses takes him by surprise, just as he's shutting off the water. It's a bit of an odd taste, and that strange feeling --people could walk in.

It's not shame.

Just uneasiness. 'He's just a kid' is simply something Leon will always be telling himself. Something he'll always be wary of. There are younger, stronger, better people out there, and yet here "Kamui" is...

But, then again... it isn't a if it isn't already a well known thing by now. So it's hesitant, a moment of indulgence. Leon lets him, parting his lips and leaning in the slightest bit. It's a little hard to resist when it helps ease off some of that worry from earlier.]

[The mug flees into the sink as "Kamui" rests his hands on Leon's hips, breathing a sigh of content and satisfaction, like a cat with some cream.

And, in a way, he did just get some cream. So this may just mean he's gotten his mouse too. A very large, beautiful, dark drown mouse that's willing to play along with him.

Leon just tastes delicious, and, to be honest, he can have it all day, just because he wants to. Of course, that means very long mouth-to-mouth contact, but he will admit, he's not adverse by that thought.

It's a good, worthy venture... It always will be, because there's a prize.

"Kamui" takes Leon's upper lip in between his, placing a little suction on soft skin. With a little bit of tongue too.]

[The first thing Leon can honestly taste on "Kamui"'s tongue is the chocolate. Bitter, thanks to what kind it was. Kind of bitter, but still sweet, and the milk-- and then there's just simple "Kamui" underneath it. Maybe even subtly so.

He'd never admit to it, not out loud, but... he liked kissing him. Not out of anything overly complicated. He just... does. There's something about it. Had this odd way of blocking out things, an intensity, even when it was a simple sort of contact.

Still-damp fingers rest against one of "Kamui"'s elbow, a low hum bubbling up from his chest, and he dipped closer. Almost subconsciously. Almost. Encouraging a little bit deeper of a contact.

The chocolate adds an odd but not unsavory taste.]

[If Leon wants it, he's happy to oblige by opening his mouth and allowing entrance. And, of course, entering himself, teasing Leon's tongue with his.

"Let's play," is the unspoken invitation.

Of course, if he's willing to play right now. "Kamui" is up for anything-- teenage hormones, seemingly endless energy and stamina, and all that, even after a battle like that. His body is not at all worn out, and he hasn't received any wounds that require his full attention to heal himself. He can be energetic and possibly annoying for today in a romp.

"Kamui" uses his grip on Leon's hips to pull him closer, ready to simply grind their bodies together and see just what Leon wants right now. If he wants it, of course he wont be disappointed. If he doesn't... "Kamui" wont be disappointed.

Too much.]

[The taste is stronger, and "Kamui"'s mouth is warmer than usual. Not surprising. Not unpleasant. Interesting, running his tongue along the other's, that hum turning into a soft rumble.

Leon's used to that 'teenage hormones'. Maybe he doesn't have the same stamina and that constant flow of energy, but he wasn't old, either, not just yet. A man in his prime, with-- with wants, and needs, just as anyone else. Some wants he just wasn't too keen on fulfilling before. No reason. Not that Leon saw. That wasn't to say that "Kamui" couldn't tire him out.

Damp fingers smooth across the underside of that arm, content to kiss the other a little longer, full and open-mouthed. There wasn't really anymore hesitation in it; there has been enough times to get the hang of the nuances. Just a moment.

And a lick to those lips when Leon pulls his mouth away.]

Not out here. [Leon is fine with it. But out in the open? No, he wasn't so sure about that one.]

[Of course he's a little disappointed that they cant do it right here, right now, especially when they're being very... cozy with each other. Nevermind that people might, can, and most definitely will come across them and see what exactly they're doing.

... Not that it bothers him.

The thought of doing something unbelievably questionable in front of an audience appeals to him, after all. A lot of things appeal to him, most involving things he would most likely get the cold shoulder for simply suggesting.]

The room, then?

[He holds out his hand, an invitation, so they can go there together.

At least he'll still be getting something today.]
