PenPal for my son
He's almost 28 and has spent the last 10 years in prison.
He has nine years left.
He's been using the time to get an education. Doing pretty well at it.
Lately he's doing his best to learn French.
His Spanish has gotten pretty good, but of course he's got a fair amount of people around who speak it to
practice with, but there aren't many other prisoners (or guards) who speak French.
Writing isn't the same as speaking, but it will still help him immensely if he can find a pen pal to exchange letters
with who knows French.
Some other info: He has been tutoring others to help them get their GEDs. He's an avid reader, loves mystery novels.
One of the guards recently told us that he's "the nicest and most polite guy here".
