i just read my past entry and my plans truly did NOT go as planned.
to be honest, i was really nervous about attending to the house warming due to a heated discussion with one of the classmates in the costa rica program. however, with through much encouragement- because the day was going pretty shitty (postponed west seattle AGAIN and kaplan is truly a ***ked up business)- i thought an hour to check out the new place wouldnt make the day worst.
Pulling up near the place, i was CONFUSED; i thought i was lost. Could 2 recently college-graduate guys really be living in a freakin' 3 story HOUSE with 2 garages?! what is going on?!!? when i went inside, sure enough- there was steven lookin' like that forest man he is. got the tour of the house and was stunned at every room he showed me. the bloody masterbed room is the size of half the first floor of MY own home. this is just HUGE!! Oh, guess how much rent they pay???
NONE. ZIP. NADA.
The owner of the home is steven's roommate's friend. He was looking for someone to house sit while he builds another home. So they end up only pay internet and cable bills. anyways, with such a huge home- you definitely have space to avoid seeing certain people. That was a bit comforting.
But i ended up having such a fantastic time, meeting unique characters, had great conversations, learned excellent EtOH games. They even had a freakin PINATA decorated as curious george. Hah it must've been something someone was suppressing in their childhood. Curious george was filled with all sorts of treats. With all these activities, I stopped wondering if that classmate would show up. She didnt- so that was all a useless thought anyways. those random nothings with strangers added up me being there practically all night. but even as i left, the house WARMING definitely wasnt getting colder.
but all decisions lead to their own consequences.
mornings have been HELL getting through. what happened to the 9p to 5a sleeping schedule!? However, I was on time to meet ann to reunite with kristine in granite falls. it is a beautiful small town, but i realize completley different to be LIVING there. i plan to make a lot of weekend trips to kidnap kristine. ;D her new house is beautiful and spacious. there are definitely some comforting warm remains left from the old house. i guess it's that natural thing them nappers carry with them. but i really liked talking with kristine and ann at the dining table again. only this time, them windows look out to the forest where cougars, bears, and coyotes roam. yah- the ride home in the dark was a bit scary... but im sure i'll break into it.
granite falls downtown is 4 blocks. so we're basically experts on the town now. we explored a park that had a public restroom take up 50% of the park. the park had 2 benches and 2 trees. the town, overall, has a BUNCH of parking spaces. i guess they figured with all them land, might as well pave it and call it parking spot. although not azteca, the mexican restaurant was really good. funny thing, the town has 2 teriyaki places and 2 thai places as well. they're missing a PHO place! im thinking this could be business opportunity for my parents. haha ^.^ out in the middle of nowhere, as kristine keeps emphasizing.
okay, stop the sarcasm.
it was a quite the day trip. good times.
