first ride on bike here
went for a bike ride today -- the first since i moved here a year ago. i took my bike in to get tuned up and have some of the ravages of burning man fixed (dudek took it this year). it was a little strange at first, but i soon warmed up to it. it took me a while to ride over the freeway and wind my way through the streets of arcata until i hit a farm road through open fields.
i got a hamburger at V&N Burger Stand on the way back.
during the ride, the sun was warm on my face and i could feel the breeze as i rode through it.
tonight after dinner was ready, i could hear the hard fall of rain outside on the pavement. i'm glad i snuck out during a sun break and tested my wheels. i could get used to this whole bicycle thing.
