How in the world did I accumulate so much stuff?  While I was cleaning out my room at my parents' house a couple weekends ago, I threw a bunch of stuff away and had several bags to drop off at Goodwill.  When I cleaned out my room in the residence hall, I also threw a lot of stuff away or gave a lot of stuff away.  But as I've been unpacking stuff in my townhouse, I'm realizing that I still have a lot of stuff.  Most of the bigger stuff is put away now - you know, furniture, dishes, most of my books, clothes, stuff like that.  But now I'm left with this array of just stuff, stuff that I have no clue where it's going to go, but stuff that I don't want to/can't get rid of nonetheless.  Some of it will go to school with me in August when I get a job (hoping that happens), but still.  My room is looking much better, but yesterday I opened the coat closet downstairs and found three boxes sitting in the back - and I have no idea what's in them.  I also still have two tubs sitting in a corner of the living room, and one box sitting in the dining room by the front door.  Where in the heck is it all going to go?  I know one tub has a bunch of pictures and stuff like that in it, so that'll be fine, I'll find places for those.  And two of the tubs I went through last night - one had CD cases and some books in it, the other had breakable stuff (wine glasses, maragarita glasses, a lamp, and then some picture frames), most of which is put away.  My goal today is to get most, if not all, of the tubs and boxes downstairs unpacked.  I'm supposed to take pictures of my townhouse so that I can show them to people at my graduation party this weekend since only my parents, my dad, and my dad's parents have seen the place, and most of the rest of my family won't ever get the chance to make it up here.  I'd like things to be mostly together by then.

I made a real dinner last night - chicken, mashed potatoes, peas, and corn.  It was good.  I would have made more because those would have been great leftovers for dinner tonight, but we don't have a microwave yet.  But I still felt accomplished - and those are all comfort foods for me because my mom makes that dinner a lot, so that helped with the whole really and truly moving out on my own two and a half hours away from my parents mood, though that's been better since Sunday.

I had a job interview yesterday.  It went alright, not great, but not horrible either, so we'll see.  The district I really want found out yesterday where the teachers are being bumped (some schools have to get rid of teachers, so other schools in the district take them), so I'm hoping now that they all know how many people from the district they're taking, they can start hiring people from outside the district, like me.  I know one of the schools I really want is hiring, and my cooperating teacher is putting in all kinds of good words and sitting down and talking with administration face to face about me, and it would be great if that actually turned into something.  That would be my dream job.  I'm just keeping my fingers crossed right now, though, that I get a job.  I know it's still early to really know anything, but still, I really want to know where I'm going to be in August.

That's all for now.  I'm going to go downstairs and eat something, and then work some more on this whole unpacking thing before going to get my bridesmaid dress fitted this afternoon so they can make the needed alterations (it's too long and it's too big at the top).  Adios for now!
