My time here is winding down...

Being finished with my thesis feels weird.  Granted, it also feels as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  But by the same token, this is something that I've been working on for almost a year and a half, researching and reading and writing.  It's like now it's finished, and I'm not quite sure what to do now that I no longer have that project to work on.

Almost finished with everything, actually.  I have a couple more assignments to turn in for my special education class, and that's about it.  Two more weeks of student teaching left, but even that's not much.  As of this week, all that I'm still teaching is group time (about a half hour or so in the morning) and project work/centers in the afternoons.  Alyssa has readers' workshop, opening, writers' workshop, read aloud at the end of the day, and dismissal.  After this Friday, I won't have anything left.  It'll be weird.  It already feels weird to be sitting on the carpet during opening instead of in the rocking chair in front of the kids.  May 5th is my last day.  I'm really going to miss this teaching placement and my kiddos.  This semester has just been amazing.  I'm still trying to get an interview with my school because it would be a dream come true to work there next year.

Sean and I get the keys to our townhouse on May 5th as well, so in a little less than two weeks I officially have a place of my own.

Graduation is three weeks from yesterday.  Three weeks from yesterday I will be a college graduate and have a degree.  Exciting, but sad at the same time.  I've loved my time here at Butler and wouldn't have traded it for anything.  I'll be sad to leave...though I'll be back in a few years for my masters!

ResLife had a banquet today.  It was sad knowing it was my last one, as ResLife has been such an integral part of my life here at Butler, and has really helped shape me into who I am now (a very different person than  I was when I started college).  Great times though seeing everyone and being together as a group one last time.  And I must say, the slideshow that Erin, Maren, and I put together for the banquet was pretty amazing =)

Gotta go get some stuff done for school this week, then go on rounds and head to bed.
