I rocked the GRE. I'm applying to the U of M, working on responses and letters of recommendation (which, due to some lackluster time in undergrad, is proving to be more of a pain in the ass than I expected).
Thanksgiving was awesome. Spending time with my family felt really good. I really, really missed my grandparents but it was good to have everyone together and talking a little about them.
I just finished making a hat for a family friend. He's turning 60 and his wife is throwing him a party on Saturday. Vern's got lung cancer and he's going through chemo and is on oxygen. He used to have a ponytail and ride a Harley. He doesn't have hair now because of the chemo.
I knit him a cap with a braided ponytail on the back.
I try to focus on him still being here but I dread saying goodbye.
