Thanks, everyone. I'm still coming to terms with losing her so suddenly. Two nights ago, my cousin and I both dreamed that we were looking for her but couldn't find her. I think I'll always be looking for her.
That was a roller coaster of a week. On Monday the 7th, Josh and I went to see Jimmy Eat World. We met the guys after the show and ended up in the tour bus for a little bit. I'm still a little jazzed about that. They're nice guys.
The next day was my grandma's wake. I spoke at the podium and it felt good to talk about how much she meant to me and about the things that will always remind me of her. There were some pictures of her that were from waaaay back in the early 40's. She was so lively and quirky and sweet...I wish I'd known her then.
Wednesday was the funeral. I'm not going to talk about that. It was really hard. After the internment at Fort Snelling (my grandpa's a Korean War vet), we went to the hotel where some of my cousins were staying and were there for 7 hours, telling jokes and just screaming with laughter. Horrible morning, fantastic evening.
Saturday was my cousin Crystal's wedding. She looked great and it was all beautiful. I'm so happy for her.
Last night we went to see The Dark Knight. It was fantastic. Heath Ledger was unrecognizable; he did an amazing job. It sucks that he won't be able to reprise the role.
July 29th through August 5th, we will be in Texas. Will you be in Texas?
