I Lied

I have to have a spoiler moment for GoF, there are some things that did bother me that they left out. So yeah, I shall briefly talk about them.

All right:

They completely skipped the whole explanation about how Barty Crouch Jr. got out of Azkaban, the entire thing dealing with his father. Which is weird because hello, only Sirius Black is known to have escaped, so the fact that Barty's simply prancing around was odd. And then when Harry found Barty Crouch Sr. dead in the woods... they never even went anywhere with that storyline. As far as we know he's still lying in the woods somewhere. And they don't explain what happens to Barty Jr. How the dementors kill him and destroy all the evidence, and that's why no one will believe Dumbledore and Co in the future.

Also the Weasley twins weren't given the prize money from the tournament. They never even mentioned the fact that there was a huge money award. They were all like omgz eternal glory is the prize. At least Rowling is realistic and realizes money is a big a factor as eternal glory. Especially when it came to Ron and Harry's fight. I wonder how they'll explain the twins opening up a joke shop in the future films. The beard growing scene was awesome though. And when Angelina is asked to the ball. It was cute.

The Rita Skeeter bug fiasco wasn't mentioned. She didn't cause nearly as much trouble as she did in the book. They never went anywhere with the Hermione/Harry rumor. They were caught hugging and it was in the paper but there was no backlash really. The backlash from the paper wasn't as predominant as it should have been, hardly important at all. Because there were only two articles mentioned in the movie that she wrote, both when she was present for, they didn't discuss her being an animagus. Hermione didn't find out at all because we never even saw her as the beetle. Which makes me question whether or not they'll use her in the fifth movie because of the whole black mail thing. They did a good job with the acid green quill though.

You never find out that Hagrid's mother was a giantess, or that Madame Maxine is part giant too. I'm not too happy with the casting decision for Madame Maxine either. She was too gangly. Much too thin. Maybe it's just me but I pictured her heftier. This makes me think that they won't even mention sending Hagrid and Maxine to the giants to try and gain their favor. Which is sad because Grawp probably won't be in the movies. :(

And in general I'm just sad they didn't show more of the students in this movie. Or that much magic. It really did focus on Harry and the Twiwizard Tournament, which is understandable, but still sad. There was hardly any Draco. Except for th ferret thing. I'm so glad they didn't cut that. But you didn't see them in any classes except for Moody's unforgivable curses lesson. Snape definitely wasn't in it that much either. But ok you have to love the scene where he smacks Ron and Harry upside the head with a book. I'm sure the Draco and Snape fanwhores will be upset. There was no Sirius except for his head in the fire, which was a weird scene anyway since his head was composed of the coal in the fireplace, rather than sort of hovering there like I had pictured it in the book. There were lots of characters left out. Including Ludo Bagman, Winky and Dobby, and Charlie Weasley.

But ok, ok, I still have to admit that it was an awesome movie and I am pleased with it. Those are just a few things that make me think about what their plans for future movies are. Small complaints for the fact that overall I loved it like whoa. All right then and I'm off.
