I love the swimming pool scene in Poltergeist. "You moved the cemetery but you left the bodies, didn't ya? You s-o-b. You left the bodies and you only moved the headstones. You only moved the headstones! Lies. Lies!!"

Rereading Helter Skelter. I think I first read it when I was in my 'teens. I understand it much better now and did a little bit of ( Read more... )

Wow, I just looked up the gun laws on a few of the biggest states here in the US and most of them don't require permits for any gun!! I can't believe that!! Here in WI, they require nothing....I can walk up in some place and buy a gun without a permit or criminal check AND I don't have to register it. I did look up DC and they actually have to have a permit for every type of firearm, they have to be registered and they have age laws.

I think that ALL states shouled REQUIRE someone that wants to buy a fire arm to be at least 18 and require it to be registered with picture ID and all. There should be a criminal check as well. I don't think Wal-Mart should sell fire arms...that has always boggled my mind. I don't think it's safe for guns to be sold kept everywhere, especially where kids under the age of 18 are working even if they are not loaded, simply because kids are curious and they get goofy and sometimes it results in heads getting blown off by accident or someone getting an eye poked out. I've heard it all because my aunt and uncle are detectives and they always have to called to the scene of crimes or accidents and evaluate them. It gets quite grusome.

I think to obtain a permit for a gun people must go through extensive screening, criminal record check, mental evaluation, you name it. Even if someone just wants a gun for hunting. I'm anal though and some would think I am going to far but I don't think just anyone should be able to walk around with a gun unless their work requires it, like a police officer or security.
