I think that ALL states shouled REQUIRE someone that wants to buy a fire arm to be at least 18 and require it to be registered with picture ID and all. There should be a criminal check as well. I don't think Wal-Mart should sell fire arms...that has always boggled my mind. I don't think it's safe for guns to be sold kept everywhere, especially where kids under the age of 18 are working even if they are not loaded, simply because kids are curious and they get goofy and sometimes it results in heads getting blown off by accident or someone getting an eye poked out. I've heard it all because my aunt and uncle are detectives and they always have to called to the scene of crimes or accidents and evaluate them. It gets quite grusome.
I think to obtain a permit for a gun people must go through extensive screening, criminal record check, mental evaluation, you name it. Even if someone just wants a gun for hunting. I'm anal though and some would think I am going to far but I don't think just anyone should be able to walk around with a gun unless their work requires it, like a police officer or security.
