whoops. so i may have forgotten what my resolutions were. or rather, i knew they were on my to-do list but forgot i put a timer on it. mah baaad..
1. finish moving. ~~> fail. i would go grab a handful of things once in a while over the course of the year but, not gonna lie, it never looked like i made a dent in "moving". hoarder level: apprentice (only because i can see the actual floor. although i do question if buying a house to store all of my junk was a way to keep myself from looking like a hoarder because now it is more spread out or that fact alone should level me up to the next level...)
2. clean up the second room. ~~>fail. i mean, i did clean it and ddalgi did use it as a bnb for a short while but i will give myself a fail only because i haven't made true progress into a workable office yet.
back to good ol 0%. maybe ive been aiming too high, and by high i mean reasonable goals. maybe i need to lower my expectations (anyone else still quietly sings "lower expectations" from the old mad tv sketch?).
now ive went off and gave it some thought and realized how very adhd ive been doing things. i will start one thing but get distracted to go finish something else and keep doing this until i forget what i was working on in the first place. and with so many things on my to-do list, lots of things don't get done. maybe i should just put my to-do list as my resolutions and see how many things i actually get done at year's end. given some things have a hard deadline (like things to do before someone else's life events), you would think i would get something done right? welp, we shall see!
- finish moving.
- clean up the second room.
- get a new car/mode of transportation.
- replace old toilet.
- finish bridal party duties on time.
- get an electrician to look at some wiring issues.
- reply to correspondences in a timely matter.
- redo fireplace.
- put up shelving.
- organize closet.
- have house warming/get together
- catch up on ff7
i can sadly say most of these have been on the to-do list for a while now and i often find myself passing out on the couch before doing or attempting to do them. however, i have some hope because i have been getting some things done around the house that i normally would put off such as getting the heater replaced and cleaning up the router wires. maybe it feels like a big accomplishment because i had to talk to people while getting the heater replaced. and maybe once everything is done, i can fully become a secluded crazy cat lady. baby steps!
