I smiled nervously at Hyoyeon. It was a miracle that I was still able to think at all. "Hey, I can explain..."

"--how you unintentionally decided to betray me since Jessica is so much more prettier and popular than me? Oh no, I totally understand," Hyoyeon snorted. She smirked. "Like I don't know everything already."

"Hyo..."

"Really, Eunhyuk, I'm so disappointed," Hyoyeon faked a sob. "I actually thought we were buddies, plotting to fight the same enemy. But no, you decided to play without me, traitor. Got anymore to add?" She glared. "Fuck --"

"Don't go "fucking" anyone without letting them have a say first," I shot back. "I have no idea what the hell happened. I was gonna comfort you if you were hurt, but it looks like you can do fine without me." I returned her icy stare and turned away.

"What do you mean 'what the hell happened'? I thought you knew what was going on!"

I turned back. "Well, it looks like that makes the two of us." I sighed and smiled gently. "Come on, Hyo. Do I really look like the type of person to betray someone that easily? And even if I do, I wouldn't do it this early." Hyoyeon was quiet for a moment before nodding. "You don't look like you even know how to betray someone." I pouted. "Sorry, I lost my temper there."

"Then we're good," I grinned. I took a deep breath. "I really do have no idea what the big mess up was, but I did give your name to Mr. Park. Even emphasized that I was impressed by your skills. So --"

"Something's fishy here," Hyoyeon finished. She frowned. "I never knew Donghae oppa and Jessica was planning to join. Perhaps--"

"I recommended Donghae myself," I explained quickly. Hyoyeon raised her eyebrow. "What?"

I turned red. "Um.... you might not know, but he's pretty good...... I don't know about Jessica though," I abruptly said.

Hyoyeon sighed. "Fine. If I can, I'll go and find out the details." She gave me an apologetic look. "Sorry, I lashed out on you for nothing."

I shrugged. "I told you already, we're even." I thought for a moment. "Hey, I'll ask Mr. Park first thing when I see him. Maybe he'll have an answer." Hyoyeon nodded. "Yeah, I would appreciate that."

We stood there in silence, not sure what to say to each other now. Hyoyeon spoke first. "So, I guess I'll see you sometime soon. Sleep well, cause I won't be there to kick your butt or anything." I smiled, amused. "Yeah, but I think I'll walk around. Jessica's having her mini-party or something." Hyoyeon smiled and punched my shoulder playfully.

Everything's back in control now.

I was sought out by the school newspaper as soon as I had stepped out of the dorm.

The duo, a kid with nerdy-looking glasses and a tall dude with weird hair, lagged behind me trying to set up their materials. I tried to ignore them, walking as fast as I could to the studio. No way can these pathetic two stop me. The tall guy stuck a recorder in my face.

"ACK! Huhuhu, excuse me," the nerdy kid rubbed his nose after a sneeze. "So, Lee Eunhyuk, you are captain of the newly formed dance team, correct?"

"Get your facts before you come here," I muttered, walking a bit faster.

The kid nodded, writing down furiously in his notebook. "Ah, ah, yes."

"What?" I looked back at him. He shook his head. "Nothing. So, we continue. How did you feel when you were chosen as captain? Obviously, to know that you're captain is a big honor and you must have felt ecstatic and such," he commented before I even opened my mouth. I frowned and continued walking. "Are you even interviewing me? You're lagging behind and --"

"The captain is a very grouchy girl, has a very bad temper, and badmouths the innocent reporter," he mumbled as he jotted down the words in his notebook. The tall dude snickered. I stopped and stared at them. "Yah. What the hell are you writing down?"

The kid looked up, pushing his glasses up his nose. "Oh, finally. You stopped." He cleared his throat and coughed. Another sneeze. "Now, let's continue. As captain, you were given the responsibility to choose the new members of the team. How did you do this? A method for singling out the best dancers out of this whole university?" the kid coughed once more before staring at me. The recorder was stuffed into my face.

"Uh... you know... I go around campus and look for people that I know dance well." I glanced at the clock tower in the distance. "Can I please go?"

"Captain Lee chooses to refuse the question and instead asks to leave," the nerd wrote muttered as he wrote it down.

"WHAT?" They both looked at me. "Sorry? You wanted to say more?"

"I obviously gave you an answer and you write down that lie?" I asked incredulously.

"The captain responds some more by showing her temper..." I groaned and walked away. Their heads shot up. "WAIT! We have one more question!!" I started sprinting over to the studio. Obviously, those two cannot run at all, so in no time I lost them.

I breathed hard as I ran into the classroom. Mr. Park was over in the corner, mumbling something I couldn't hear. "Aish... this CD player won't work...."

"Uh... sir?" He spun around. "Oh, Eunhyuk. You surprised me." His eyes crinkled as he smiled. "It's still early for class, or are you here for something else?"

I nodded. "Yeah.... you see, I turned in some people's names, and I thought they would've made it in......" I trailed off. "Uh, it was Shin Donghee and......" I sighed, "Lee Donghae.... and..."

"Kim Hyoyeon?" Mr. Park finished. I nodded. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Eunhyuk-sshi. I told you that you can recommend people, but only with my approval can they officially be part of the team. I did tell you that, right?" I nodded again. "Well..."

"You didn't like Hyoyeon?" I stared at my instructor with my mouth gaped open. His eyes widened, and he shook his head. "No, no, no, it wasn't because of that.... it was more like I didn't know her well enough," the dance teacher explained, his eyes avoiding me. I glared. "What do you mean, you don't 'know her well'?"

"Uh..... S-she hasn't shown me much of her skills in dancing. Now, I'm n-not saying that I don't trust your choices, but for me to approve someone, I would like to see them in person," he stammered under the look I was giving my teacher.

"Does that mean she can still be in the team?" I asked hopefully. "I know the auditions are over and everything, but --"

"Five people seem like a very good number for a team, Eunhyuk-sshi," Mr. Park interrupted. I raised my eyebrow. He sighed. "Fine. You're a very good dancer, and I believe in you and the team. Tell her to come in anytime, and I'll see what I can do."

I grinned. "Thank you so much! I tell her to come today, that's okay?" He nodded, apparently a little unhappy.

I skipped out the door and ran towards the girls' dorm. There were some kids out already, so I ran a bit faster. Shoot, she might be already in class. I suddenly spotted her walking to the food area. "YAH, KIM HYOYEON!!"  A few passersby gave me weird looks. "COME INTO THE DANCE STUDIO SOMETIME TODAY! OKAY?!" Hyoyeon heard me and nodded, giving me a thumbs up. I grinned. She got the message.

"Hey, Eunhyuk. Why yelling your head off so early in the morning?" a voice beside me asked. I turned to see Donghae suddenly appearing out of nowhere. I gave him a weird look. "How did you get here?"

Donghae smirked. He bent over and whispered into my ear. "I have alien skills." I smacked his head and started walking. He caught up to me. "Hey, let's go get breakfast and then go to class." He grabbed my hand and pulled tightly so I would have no chance of escaping.

"Hey, why so quiet?" Donghae poked at my cheek. I frowned. "What are you frowning at, huh? Jealous of my beautiful face?"

"There's nothing about your face that's beautiful," I retorted.

"Oh, Hyukkie, how can you be so mean?" he pouted, jutting his lips. I laughed. "Yah, you look like a fish, Hae!" I froze. Donghae looked surprised. "What?"

"You... look like a fish when you pout," I said in a small voice. Donghae shook his head furiously. "No. What did you call me after that?"

"Fish."

"No. After."

"Hae....." I said miserably. Donghae smirked and ruffled my hair with his other hand. "OKAY! From now on, you're calling me that. What's my name?"

"Lee Donghae."

"NO! Hyuuuuukie, you have to say 'Hae'. GO!"

"Haaaaaaaae," I moaned. I rolled my eyes. "Happy?"

"Very much." His smile was contagious. I sighed as we got to the food area. I used this chance to let go of his hand, which had finally loosened. "I'll go get the drinks... what do you wanna drink?" Donghae pouted. "Why did you let go, Hyuuuuuukiee????"

"What drink do you want?" I repeated. Donghae sighed. "Fine. I want.... whatever you're getting." I raised my eyebrow. "Really?"

"Really. What do you want to eat then?"

"Just get me the same thing as yours then." I turned away, but Donghae grabbed me back. He pointed to his face. "Hey, where is my goodbye kiss?"

I stared at him. "W-what?"

"My. Kiss."

I groaned. "What am I, your mom? You didn't even do anything good --"

"No. You're just my girlfriend." Donghae laughed at my shocked face. "Yah, I was just joking. Let's see who can buy the stuff first, ok? Loser has to pay all." He started running away to a random vendor and stood in line. I gaped at his sudded change in mood.

Yeesh. Is this guy supposed to be a college student or a five year old?
