i'm going to update this today because of a bunch of reasons
providence is ghost town now and not in a fun way. it's pretty depressing being in my apartment with nothing to do but pack. bentley is gone, went home with my parents on sunday so that he didn't have to deal with crazy moving day tomorrow.
the weather has finally turned back into summer and no more grey rain piss over and over which makes things even a little more strange and wrong.
graduation went well. i got a bunch of amazing antique books by some golden age artists i really like including a midsummer night's dream by rackham and romeo+juliet. plus some newer artists i had never heard of but are perfect. my grandparents saw my show and so did my brother and erin which was nice since they hadn't seen any of my work from this year. too much food+wine over those few days though. now back to lettuce and tomatoes.
last night was the craziest sunset over providence but everyone was gone.
that's my last nostalgic/depressing/graduation line
speaking of lines last week in nyc with jess/meghan/kale was insane and i got to watch the sunrise on meghan's rooftop before walking back to my brother place to get a couple hours of sleep in. nyc will be fun
soon i leave for tuscany for a couple of weeks to sit by the pool and reeaddd. tomorrow i go home early in the big uhaul to sit by the pool and reeadd.
after tuscany i will find my place in nyc, my parents and brother keep telling me not to worry, i'll find a place big enough to paint in too and while i trust them and know it will actually happen i can't help spending hours on craigs list searching out the perfect place.
i didn't get to see some people before they left which sucks.....hopefully i see you all somedaaayyyyy
beth stopped by to drop off my clouds from the gallery and is leaving for california which makes it more strange.
there are a bunch of people going to nyc though, and i'm ready for it i think it will be good. we're thinking about getting a 5 or 6 person 2 floor loft somewhere downtown which would be really fun. or a single i'm not sure yet. it will be nice to have people around the city though
joe and i were talking the other day about how current artists we like often seem to have this disregard of art history and the role it plays directly into their own work. i'm excited to see and read more about new work really being new and being more about the art existing as it's own experience and not art for art. i had to write a lot of essays in our painting seminar on lots of different topics like this which was the best part of the semester.
cross cutting of art/fashion/life/food====>nickelodeon
nickelodeon closed it's orlando studio recently! that really sucks i remember watching all of those shows when i was younger and wishing the i could buy that slime in bulk. i guess viacom bought them out and decided the studio wasn't being used too much and was wasting space. no slime mountain
coffee and then packing but first
OOP!
