And now for another installment of: JENNY HAS HER STUPID OTPS!
Today, we will be looking into the DC universe and Jenny being really nerdy. If being nerdy is a sin, then I'm going to hell. I have come to terms with this.
DC UNIVERSE OTPS
So I'm going to start off with my favorite BL couple of all time. Ask anyone that knows me; these guys have been my favorites of a long time, and they are probably the purest of my OTPs. Who are they? Well, they're Virgil Hawkins and Richie Foley. You know, from that '90's cartoon Static Shock, remember?
Yeah, not many people do.
But I love these guys. I would kill for an animated movie or even a new show about them. I would do anything for a new running of the show. Or for Richie to be comic cannon, I always related to him the most.
Next in line is Superman and Wonder Woman. Though, I do love the bromance between Supes and Bats, Batman is so very straight that hell would have to freeze over twice before he would even hug Supes on his own accord, plus, they don't have as much going for them as Diana and Clark do, they just really work well together.
(plus, I really, really hate Lois.)
Moving onto the spawn of the Bat.
Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson. Better known as Batgirl and Robin, then as Batgirl and Nightwing, to Oracle and Nightwing, and now as Oracle and Batman. I loooove these two and I feel like they make a great power couple as well as a romantic one. They are meant to be, it's commonly known in comics that they are destined for each other... they just seem to....run from destiny, I guess?
Now, like Spidey, there is a fandom bicycle in the DCU, which is currently Red Robin. Tim Drake. Yup, fandom bicycle. Tim has been paired with Superboy, Nightwing, Jamie Raynes, Impluse, Tam, Annie, Cass Cain, Miss Martian, and so on and so forth. Me, I like him paired with Stephanie Brown. They make a good couple and a good team and yeah, Cute couple.
Teehee! Yeah, despite common belief, I don't slash everything. But when a couple is caught in a RAD BROMANCE, I usually can't help myself. Who am I talking about? Well, I really, really love the duo of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. It killed me a little inside when Ted died. I know that heroes usually come back in comics, but it's really depressing in the mean time.
Hurm, this is taking longer than I anticipated. I'll just name off the rest of my favorites.
Black Canary and Green Arrow. -> "I missed calling you pretty bird."
Grace and Thunder from the Outsiders. -> I like Grace to be happy.
Big Barda and Mister Miracle -> I like the fact that their roles in their relationship are reversed; it's cute.
Question and Huntress -> Though only cannon in the DCAU, I still like it and I find very cool and sweet and I'm a nerd.
Atom and Giganta -> Hee! Giant woman loves small man.
Poison Ivy and Harley -> Because someone as adorable as Harley deserves a healthy relationship with a green woman.
Jason Todd and Donna Troy -> I sure do love my undeads.
The Dibnys. -> the heart and soul of the JLA
Batwoman and Question II -> Gay for justice!
Mallah and Brain -> Unlikely love? Yeah.
