Meteor Showers

It's just been one hell of a weekend thus far...

Friday night I never made it to rehearsal. Dinner with Philip and others kept me occupied. Dealing with demons, that's how I spent my night. I've learned that I wish I could slap some sense into a lot of people. Oy.
If I speak the truth, it shouldn't matter how old I am?
I met some great people that night.

Today I sort of slept in, did a wee bit of laundry and then went to go meet Doreen (my old best friend from Middle School) and Mrs. Liz (her amazing new-age mom) at Lynnhaven mall with Daniel, who leaves for boot camp in less than two days. Oh. My. God. It was nice to see Mrs. Liz and Doreen again. They used to play such major roles in my life... Doreen is finally ready to hang out with me again, I guess,  after 3 years of not really talking. Shit's just not going her way... and people go back to what they know. She told me that she felt as if she could tell me anything and that she knew I would never think any less of her for it. I feel it's because I think I grew up a long time ago.... I can't be surprised. I know her. I love her. If she needs my help, I'll always come running. I like feeling like that about my friends. It gives me a reason to wake up in the morning.

Everyone's been looking to me lately for my spiritual knowledge... After no one asking for advice or my help for so long... It's weird to have my Otherworldly knowledge become so all of a sudden in demand.

Daniel, Mike, Jackie, Doreen, and I went Ice Skating at MacArthur. It was both Doreen and Mike's first time. They did quite well. I'm sure we'll be going again in the near future. Long conversations and debates followed soon after in the Barnes & Noble cafe closer to home.  We sat there talking, all of us, for about 3 hours.

I can't believe Daniel is leaving.
Monday.

After having a long chat we all went to Chix Beach to watch the meteor shower. Only a few of us saw anything, and the meteors were few and far between. I saw two. Yay.

Drove Doreen home--nIce long conversation there--and here I am.

Tomorrow... Who knows? Painting for ITW, possibly... and maybe "Happy Feet" with Daniel and others.
