On werewolves and dark lords
Didn't watch the MTV Movie Awards. Thought about it, because of the New Moon and Half-Blood Prince clips they promised but...ultimately decided they'd be online within minutes and I'd rather not feed MTV's ratings. So...THOUGHTS:
HBP: I was unimpressed. They've used most of this scene in all the other trailers anyway so it was nothing new. I would've liked something fresh, something we hadn't seen a million times already. So...yeah. Downgrade. Work on your marketing WB.
New Moon: Marketing gold. LOVED IT. I didn't particularly like the book but dang does this movie look awesome. Alice's big party for Bella and Jasper looking all hot and murderous. I have to say though...I can't remember clearly from the book, but I thought Jasper pushed Bella into the table. In the trailer Edward pushes her backward, out of the way of Jasper. I...felt uncomfortable. I know it's kind of a trivial detail to get hung up on but...really Did Edward really have to push his girlfriend into a table? He's a creeper enough as it is. But I'm just arguing semantics there, I suppose. Jacob was awesome, and the fursplosion was fantastic. Finally some decent special effects and OMG IT WASN'T ALL ON A BLUE FILTER. Taylor Lautner really did bulk up and I feel like a creeper for saying he looks hot because he's only what, 17? 18? and I'm an old lady at almost 22.
So that's all I really have to say for now. I can't wait for either movie; they're both gonna be awesome. :)
