I didn't actually realise you were in Glasgow. Or Scotland, for that matter. I feel for you. We natives have a problem enough with it, I can't imagine how bad it must be for you. *shudders* Still, at least you get to go home at some point. I'm kinda stuck with it.
So anyway, uh, hi. *waves* I have quite a few of your fics in my memories - ultimate favourite has to be Hold With Those Who Favour Fire, because yeah, one, it's a really good concept, the half-angel/demon thing, and two, the way you've brough them both together is really inventive and original and I could gush, but I'm trying to preserve some form of dignity here - and you're a really, really fucking good writer. Plus, your header is awesome, so. ^_^
So, anyway, I was wondering if it was okay to friend you? I'm funny, I won't do it until someone says it's okay with them, but's okay if it's not. :)
Hi! I am indeed in Glasgow! I'm frequently rather enamoured with it (although, not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to getting out of the UK at some point!) Are you in Scotland then yourself?
It is most totally okay to friend me! I've friended you just now. :)
And oh man. I kinda don't know what to say to a lovely compliment like that. That is so lovely to read, and it really means a lot to hear that- especially about that fic because it's my favourite that I've written and it's so lovely to hear when other people like it! So, yes, thank you so much for that! I'll just be over here blushing!
I live just outside Stirling at the moment, although I used to live in Edinburgh - which, honest to God, I prefer. It's gotten so bad that, instead of comparing the two now, I'm just happy to be in a city again when I go to Glasgow. I was born there - I'm a city girl at heart. ^_^
I'm always really, really pleased to learn there's more bandom people north of the border! About a year ago I thought I was the only one, but there seems to be a handful of us at least! Are you a gig-going member of bandom at all?
Glasgow's the only city I've lived in in the UK I've really liked, tbh. It's the perfect size for me and although I don't explore it as much as I should (I live in the West End and go to Glasgow Uni) I'm still rather fond of it!
And \o/ New friends are always most awesome to have!
We are a rare breed. ^_^ I love going to gigs, personally. I want to be a music journalist when I leave uni, so. And Glasgow seems to host most of them. There's a few I've seen advertised in Edinburgh, but it was always easier for my friends to go to the Glasgow date, so I just hopped on the train then.
I haven't lived in Glasgow since I was two, whereas from when I was eight till I was seventeen I would spend my weekends in Edinburgh with my dad, until I moved in with him, which was where I was till nearly a year ago, and then we moved here. It's so quiet here in comparison. :/ I lived in Dennistoun in Glasgow, but I don't know what end that is...
Glasgow is pretty cool about getting some great gigs! Are you hitting up Cobras or WTK this week?
I have no idea where anywhere in Glasgow is either, tbh. I live and work and study in the same place and never explore, which is probably very silly of me if I only have 4 more months here! Glasgow is pretty damn awesome though!
Unfortunately, I'm not. :( I'm saving up for Paris next month. The last gig I was at was Madina Lake at the end of last month at the QMU. And it might be the last for a while. Have you been to the Garage before?
It's got much better shopping than Stirling, that's for sure. All there really is here is Primark and New Look, both of which are really badly stocked. I'd even settle for a Hellfire! LOL
Random, but a friend of mine just text me to say she won't be able to make the Cobra show on thursday and she's willing to give her ticket away for free. She asked me if I knew anyone and I thought I'd mention it to you?
She's going to post the ticket up to me since she can't find anyone to use it so, like, thursday. If you decide then you don't want it, I'll offer it around to other people. I think she just wants it to go to a good home, you know? So it's yours if you want it! But no worries if not.

Yup, I've been to the Garage for a few shows- Gym Class, The Academy Is..., All-American Rejects...some others too I think. Not a bad little venue!
I've never been to Stirling itself, just to the castle a few times, but that's a shame re: lack of shops!

This Thursday? Hmmm. I have an essay due on Friday, but I'd kinda really like to go. When do you need to know?
